ABOUT US

The Kaduna State Peacebuilding Academy (KSYPA) is a group of 100 young people comprising of 50:50 gender and religious representations across 5 communities in Kaduna State, trained and championing the course of promoting peacebuilding, religious tolerance and inter-communal trust. We have acquired skills on peacebuilding, conflict management and project management and are now working in different ways in our respective communities with other community members dealing with issues in the context of community challenges. This academy is supported by Plan International in partnership with The Kukah Centre.

OUR PURPOSE

The purpose of our existence is to lead the process of change, serve as peace champions, advocate for peacebuilding and conflict management, promote religious tolerance and communal trust. We are working to ensure the broken trust and love for humanity is back in Kaduna. We believe a peaceful Kaduna is a progressive Kaduna.

OUR UNIQUENESS

5 different communities carrying out distinct activities in the context of their community peculiar challenges. It is not a one-size fits all approach and we are privileged to discuss our community issues and come up with solutions to address these issues. Plan International and TKC only provide technical support while we initiate and drive the process of change.
